We are looking for Master and PHD students!

You are interested in working in a vivid group of people doing quantum physics with cold atoms? Then join us at TU Vienna for doing your master thesis or your PHD.

We have several positions open! The topics include:

– Building a multi-pass cavity for dispersive imaging of ultracold atoms (RBII)
– Development of new measurement schemes for many-body quantum systems (RBII)
– Non-linear quantum optics and non-equilibrium physics (RBII)

– Building a Digital-micromirror-device setup for optimal transversal potential shaping of atomic double wells (KRb)
– Experimental and theoretical studies of the Sine-Gordon model out of equilibrium (KRb)

– Strongly interacting quantum systems far from equilibrium : universal scaling laws, vortices and turbulence (Lithium)
– 1D ultracold Fermi gases, experimental test of generalized hydrodynamics (Lithium)
– Entangled atom pair quantum processor from Feshbach molecules (Lithium)
– Seeking the exotic superfluid FFLO state (Lithium)
– Learning algorithm and optimal control theory for optical potential shaping with a digital-micromirror-device (Lithium)

If you are interested in joining us, contact Jörg Schmiedmayer
We are looking forward to hearing from you!
